FOXGLOVES are the perfect garden gloves. As a landscape architect and professional horticulturist I had tried every garden glove on the market, but never found one that fit well and could be worn all day. Most were so bulky and clumsy that I preferred not to wear any gardening gloves, but that really took its toll on my hands.
One day I tried a pair of women's dress gloves from the 1950's and they were nearly perfect as garden gloves. They fit snugly and protected my hands. But they weren't meant for the job and wore out quickly. I combed thrift shops and flea markets to buy replacements.
Then it occurred to me that modern fabrics could make my dream a reality. Based on the design of the fifties glove, but using SUPPLEX nylon for durability and LYCRA spandex for four-way stretch, the resulting garden gloves wore better than I ever imagined. I made a few pairs and had them tested by a group of friends and professional gardeners. They raved over these gardening gloves!
